All About Me!! :D
Hey! My name is Beuanna Tyler and I am a Freshman here at Converse University. Currently, I am a Deaf Education Major and Theater minor but I am considering changing my major to Child and Family Studies. I am passionate about working with kids however, I do not have an interest in being a teacher. I was born and raised in Columbia S.C. I have one younger brother who is thirteen and my mama, him, and I are tremendously close. I love to travel, write, dance, act, and listen to music. I have always had a love for theater and the arts. Growing up, I have danced and acted in many musicals and plays with my school and church. I am passionate about the arts because it is another way that I can express myself. I also loved it because it allows me to branch out and portray other roles. Although I usually lead towards music that is more upbeat and contains memorable lyrics. I have a variety of music tastes from Electro Swing to Rock.
This is one of the go-to songs that I would like to share. It is titled Daydream in Blue by IMONSTER. I am mesmerized by the beats and rhythm of the song. I also enjoy the artist's smooth-sounding voice move along with the electric sounds of the instruments used. When I listen to Daydream in Blue, I imagine myself lying in the field of grass on a sunny day staring at a bright blue sky. I love the way the instrumental raises in the beginning as an introduction and then the beat drops as the singer comes in.
Here is a song that I don’t really connect to. It is a Lofi hip-pop song titled Don’t Look Back by Creative Self. I love the soft use of the piano throughout the song and how it tags along with the drums. It is relaxing sometimes. However, as I am listening to the music, I have an anticipation of an exciting beat drop taking place but that doesn’t happen. The music is basically slow the whole time and I begin losing interest.
Hey Beuanna! I loved the song you posted called "Daydream in Blue!" I had never heard it before, but once I played it I added it to my playlist! It was very upbeat but not wild, which I really enjoyed. Lofi Pop puts me to sleep, so I understand why you don't connect haha! Lofi is very soothing but it does tend to get boring for me after like 2 songs. Thanks for the new music on my playlist :)
ReplyDeleteI heavily agree when it comes to the Lofi hip-hop song and how it builds up the anticipation for a good beat drop but continues with a more chill type of vibe. Lofi pop is something I would listen to while studying but even then, I still couldn't listen to it for long because all the songs kind of sound the same after a while. I have never heard of "Daydream in Blue", though it's interesting and has a funky beat, I don't think it's really my speed. Thanks for the blog post! I loved hearing some new music!
ReplyDeleteI love what you said about your childhood and how growing up you loved performing, I think that's awesome. I love that you put that lofi song in, I LOVE lofi and the way it is not dissonant like some classical music I used to listen to while studying until I find lofi. This is one of my favorite lofi artists and I'm now going to this song to my playlist for studying.
